Wasp, Hornet & Bee Nest Removal in Arnold & Jefferson County

Paper wasps under the gutters, bald-faced hornets in a tree, a nest inside the grill. These show up every summer, and they get more aggressive as the nest grows into August and September.

We treat the nest, take it down where we can reach it, and treat the spot so they don't rebuild there. If it turns out to be honey bees, we'll tell you and point you to a local beekeeper rather than kill them.

Signs you have wasps, hornets & bees

  • Wasps flying in and out of the same spot on the house
  • Gray paper nests in eaves, under decks or in shrubs
  • Chewing or buzzing sounds inside a wall or soffit
  • More wasps than usual around trash cans and drinks outside

How we handle it

  1. 1 Identify the insect so we use the right approach (and leave honey bees alone).
  2. 2 Treat the nest directly, usually early or late in the day when they're all home.
  3. 3 Remove reachable nests and treat the area to discourage rebuilding.
  4. 4 For nests inside walls, treat the void and seal the entry once activity stops.

What you can do in the meantime

  • Check eaves, play sets and grills in April when nests are still small
  • Keep trash cans closed and rinse out recycling
  • Caulk gaps in siding and soffits before spring

When to call us

Don't spray a nest in a wall or ground hole yourself. Call if the nest is bigger than a golf ball, is near a door or play area, or if anyone in the house is allergic.
